SUNLAND, Calif. (KABC) -- Three people were injured Friday when they tried to fight a fire in their Sunland home.
Firefighters were called to the house in the 10000 block of Kalua Drive near Wornom Avenue at shortly before 2 a.m. They found fire spreading from one room into other parts of the house.
Officials said a man and a woman in their 60s, and an 83-year-old woman were taken to the hospital with burns on their hands, arms and faces from trying to fight the fire themselves with a garden hose.
The cause and a damage estimate were unknown.
