NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A kitten stuck in a precarious situation along the Los Angeles River had a lucky encounter that may have saved its life.
A woman was walking along the river Saturday night near Coldwater Canyon and Oxnard Street in North Hollywood when she spotted the kitten trapped in a drain pipe.
She was hoping it would make its way out, but when it started to meow for help, the woman took action and called some real experts.
She said the cat was in a position where she couldn't reach it, so she called several agencies to get help for the cat.
It took rescuers two hours to get the kitten out. The little guy was frightened, but vets said the kitten was OK.
