VENICE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Venice residents are being put on alert by police who report a rise in iPhone robberies in the area.
Authorities say thieves are targeting people with iPhones, iPods and other Apple products. Officers say Apple Earbud headphones seem to be the common denominator. Police said the devices are being snatched out of people's hands.
Police are urging everyone not to walk around with electronic devices or exposed headphones and to be aware of their surroundings.
