PICO RIVERA, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is under way for a man accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend from her Pico Rivera home.
Authorities say Joe Martinez, 42, has a criminal history and is considered armed and dangerous.
Deputies say Martinez went into 20-year-old Adriana Lopez's home in the 9400 block of Burke Street on Wednesday and threatened her relatives with a gun before forcing her to leave with him.
She was found safe later that night, but Martinez is still on the loose. He was last seen driving a white compact car. Martinez is known to frequent the West Covina and unincorporated Bassett areas of the San Gabriel Valley.
If you know anything that could help investigators find Martinez, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS or (800) 222-8477.
