LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A reported syphilis outbreak among performers in the Los Angeles porn industry has prompted renewed calls for better safety measures.
A news conference was planned Monday morning by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation to address a recent shutdown in Los Angeles-based porn productions due to the outbreak.
Leaders with the foundation say the incident shows self-policing and testing alone does not work. They will call for better safety regulations in the industry.
