DUI suspect crashes into Bell restaurant

BELL, Calif. (KABC) -- A DUI investigation is underway after a woman crashed into a restaurant in Bell, causing extensive damage.

It happened overnight at Star Burgers near Florence and Otis avenues. Police told Eyewitness News the woman hit another car, lost control and crashed into the restaurant. She ran off, but police were able to catch her right away.

The crash caused a water leak and extensive damage to the restaurant. Police have not released the woman's name. No one was seriously hurt.
