EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (KABC) -- El Segundo police are searching for a man who dressed up like a police officer and confronted a young mom.
The mother says she was pushing her baby in a stroller on East Mariposa Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday when the man pulled up in what appeared to be a black and white patrol car.
She said the man frisked her without provocation and then drove away. The suspect is described as 6 feet tall, in his 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a uniform and a badge similar to a law enforcement officer, but authorities say he was not wearing a duty belt, holster or firearm.
If you have any information about this suspect, you're urged to contact the El Segundo Police Department at (310) 524-2200.
