HAWTHORNE, Calif. (KABC) -- A family in Hawthorne was stunned to discover a snake inside their home Sunday.
The startling discovery is the second for the family who found another snake slithering around their home in the 139th block of Hawthorne last week.
"I was sweeping my room and I opened my door and suddenly the snake is going into my room," said Ana whom discovered the snake inside her home.
Animal Control said one of the nonpoisonous snakes belongs to a neighbor. According to authorities, the neighbor told police their pet snake had just given birth and one of the baby snakes had escaped its enclosure.
The snake owner is not facing any charges or citation.
