VALLEY VILLAGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 19-year-old man charged with vehicular manslaughter in the deaths of two good Samaritans is scheduled for arraignment Monday.
Police say 19-year old Arman Samsonian of Glendale was speeding when his car struck a fire hydrant and a light pole in Valley Village on Aug. 22.
Irma Zamora and Stacey Lee Schreiber lost their lives when they raced to help Samsonian after the car crash in the 12000 block of Magnolia Boulevard near Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
The women were electrocuted by power from a streetlight that fell into water from a downed fire hydrant.
Samsonian, who is free on bail, turned himself in to police after learning a warrant was out for his arrest. He is set to make his first court appearance Monday.
