New Designs Charter School teacher awaits arraignment on molestation charges

An arraignment date has been set for the New Designs Charter School teacher accused of molesting three girls.

Juan Cardoza, 55, is scheduled to appear in court May 15. He was arrested on Wednesday at his residence.

Cardoza has been charged with four felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child and one misdemeanor count of child molestation.

Investigators say the incidents occurred between October 2012 and March 2013. He is currently being held on $320,000 bail.
