A bear found roaming a Baldwin Park neighborhood last week was found dead on the porch of a home in Little Rock.

The 3-year-old black bear was loose Friday morning near Puente Avenue and Ramona Boulevard. Officers rounded the bear up, tagged it and released it back into the wild.

In a sad turn of events, the bear was found dead on Wednesday. It was identified by the tag. Officers say the bear was likely hit by a car.
