Kidnapped Alaskan girl found during traffic stop in La Crescenta

Sunday, November 17, 2013

A child abducted from Alaska is in protective custody, after police discovered her in a car in La Crescenta Thursday.

Glendale police pulled over an SUV for a suspected seatbelt violation and became suspicious when they asked about the children in the car.

During the investigation, detectives learned one of the children, a 7-year-old girl, had been abducted from Anchorage, Alaska more than two years ago.

The child's biological mother, Cora Francis Malone, 39, and Pablo Samaniego, 49, were arrested on charges of kidnapping.
