Venue change requested again in Adenhart case

Monday, August 30, 2010

An attorney for the man accused of killing Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others in a DUI crash has requested another change of venue for the triple-murder trial.

The attorney for 23-year-old Andrew Gallo filed a request with the California Supreme Court stating that Orange County jurors are biased.

Two lower courts have already denied the request.

Prosecutors said that Gallo was drunk on April 8, 2009 and caused the deadly crash.

Gallo has pleaded not guilty.

Pre-trial motions are set to begin on Wednesday.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
