FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Fullerton police are investigating a jewelry heist that turned out to be not so beneficial to the suspect responsible.
Authorities say someone broke into Robbins Brothers on Saturday morning, and then smashed three store-front cases, taking off with a stash of jewelry.
Fortunately for the store, the jewelry was not real. It was costume jewelry. So the suspect didn't steal diamonds but bits of glass instead.
