Two married Huntington Beach teachers have been sentenced to three years of probation, after pleading guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old male student.

Gay Davidson-Shepard, 59, and her husband, Daniel Shepard, 62, were also given suspended jail sentences and must complete community service, and counseling.

Daniel taught at Westminster High School, where the boy was a student.

His wife was a teacher at Mesa View Middle School in Huntington Beach.

Authorities say the assaults took place weekly at the couple's home, starting in 2009.
