Seal Beach Subway restaurant robbed at gunpoint

A search is underway for two armed suspects responsible for robbing a Subway restaurant in Seal Beach at gunpoint Saturday.

The incident occurred at the sandwich shop located on the 2300 block of Seal Beach Boulevard around 10 a.m.

Police said the suspects fled with an unknown amount of cash.

The first suspect was described as a man standing around 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark-colored pants, a black hooded jacket and a ski mask.

The second suspect was described as a man standing around 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hooded jacket and a bandana over his face.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information was urged to call Detective Gary Krogman at (562) 799-4100.
