Irvine Police are seeking a child-annoyance suspect who exposed himself to girls on at least four occasions.

The suspect was described as a 20- to 30-year-old man with light skin and short dark brown hair. The car is a dark 4-door sedan with tinted windows.

Police received a report of a man approaching two 15-year-old girls in the Woodbridge area of Irvine on Wednesday. The two were walking home from school near West Yale Loop and Warner Avenue.

When they separated at about 3:20 p.m., the suspect pulled up to one of the girls in a dark sedan and motioned for her to approach. The girl did not approach and continued home.

The second girl was approached by the same suspect moments later near West Yale Loop and Stone Creek North. He motioned for her to approach and exposed himself to her through the car window.

Irvine detectives believe the same suspect separately approached two young girls on the afternoons of January 17 and February 4 on foot, asking for directions. In both incidents his pants were unzipped, leaving himself exposed to the girls.

Each of the incidents occurred in the Woodbridge area of Irvine, inside and outside of West Yale Loop between Barranca Parkway and Yale Avenue (North), according to police.

A composite sketch from the January 17 incident was released.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Irvine Police Department at (949) 724-7200.

The Irvine Police Department would like to remind parents to frequently discuss safety with their children, especially regarding approaching strangers or strange vehicles. Children should never approach occupied cars and should dial 911 or call out for help if approached.
