Search warrants in parents' murder

FARIA BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Several search warrants have been issued in connection to the murder of a couple in Ventura County.

Brock and Davina Husted were found stabbed to death inside their Faria Beach home last week, and investigators are still looking for a killer and a motive.

Police believe the suspect simply walked into the home through an unlocked French door, attacking Davina Husted in the kitchen.

Her 9-year-old son reportedly saw the suspect enter the home, woke up his 11-year-old sister and ran to a neighbor's house.

Brock Husted was killed when he came to the aid of his wife, who authorities said was pregnant.

Police would not release any information about the search warrants.

Meanwhile, funeral services have been scheduled for this Saturday for the parents, with a private burial to follow.
