Verizon technician accused of sex assault in Thousand Oaks

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KABC) -- A Verizon technician was taken into custody, accused of sexually assaulting an elderly customer in Thousand Oaks.

Thousand Oaks police said a 76-year-old woman claimed Tony Betancourt attacked her after finishing his work in her apartment on Thursday.

After interviewing the woman and the suspect, police booked the 56-year-old Betancourt on sexual battery charges.

Detectives believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information is urged to call Thousand Oaks police.
