Three juveniles were arrested for breaking into an Oxnard high school and stealing school property Sunday.

Officers responded to Hueneme High School in the 500 block of Bard Road around 2:29 a.m. following reports of a burglary in progress by on-site security.

Upon arrival, authorities learned four minors had forced entry into a classroom and fled from a security officer after being seen. The suspects had stolen property from the school but discarded it as they ran from the area.

Officials were soon able to locate and detain three of the four juvenile suspects following a short foot pursuit. They were identified as a 13-year-old female, 15-year-old male and 16-year-old male, all of Oxnard.

The juvenile suspects were arrested for burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Anyone with additional information was urged to contact Detective Mike Marostica at (805) 385-7605.
