ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (KABC) -- A 911 call, apparently made by presidential candidate John McCain's brother, is stirring up some controversy in Alexandria, Virginia.
Authorities said Joe McCain called 911 because he was angry about getting stuck in traffic. He says during the recorded call, "It's not an emergency, but do you know why on one side at the damn drawbridge of 95, traffic is stopped for 15 minutes, and yet traffic's coming the other way?"
The 911 operator responds, "Sir, are you calling 911 to complain about traffic?" to which Joe McCain says, "(expletive) you" and hangs up.
The 911 operator considered the call outrageous enough to call him back, but he only got Joe McCain's voicemail.
