FORT HOOD, Texas (KABC) -- The accused shooter behind the Fort Hood massacre may have links to the Sept.11 hijackers.
A law enforcement official says Nidal Malik Hasan may have attended the same Virginia mosque as two of the 911 hijackers in 2001.
Meantime, Sen. Joe Lieberman says he'll begin an investigation into whether the army missed signs that Hasan embraced an increasingly extremist view of Islam.
Hasan's classmates say they complained to superiors about his anti-American views.
