LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher is recovering after accidentally being shot in the leg at a shooting range.
Vicente Padilla was released from a hospital in Nicaragua on Tuesday after being treated for a minor gunshot wound to the right thigh.
Padilla was hurt while practicing. His agent described the incident as a hunting accident.
Padilla helped lead the Dodgers to the National League Championship Series, where they eventually lost to the Philadelphia Phillies. He's expected to file for free agency in the coming weeks.
