SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KABC) -- A multi-million dollar settlement was reached regarding the 2007 San Diego County wildfires.
San Diego Gas and Electric will pay the state more than $14 million for investigations into the Witch Creek Fire and two other fires that killed two people and destroyed over 1,300 homes.
Investigators determined that conductor failures started all three wind-whipped fires.
State officials say the utility failed to cooperate with their investigation as required by law.
