Suspects strip cars of parts at Northern California dealer - caught on tape
WOODLAND, Calif. (KABC) -- The owner of a car dealership in Northern California got an unwelcome surprise. Police in Woodland say a pair of suspects stripped two cars right on the lot.
Surveillance video shows the suspects using a Ford Escape to push a Dodge Charger out of the camera's sight. It is believed this may not be the first time they hit.
"I'd just like to be able to put a stop to this. We're hit by vandals a couple weeks ago. They scratched the paint with some screwdrivers. This is pretty serious now. It's kind of a violation. It affects all of us," said Bill Bertucci, general sales manager of the dealership.
The crooks stole the doors, bumpers, steering wheel, dashboard and stereos. The loss is estimated at $12,000 dollars.
So far, no arrests have been made.
