On Sunday, the 22nd Annual Love Ride will take place, when some 20,000 bikers from Glendale to Castaic for a day of fun and fundraising. Organizers hope to raise approximately $1,000,000 to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Reading by 9 and hurricane Katrina relief. Also happening this "Love Ride weekend" is an auction of antique motorcycles at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Among the vintage bikes being offered is a very rare 1913 Merkel that sat in storage for 73 years in nearly original condition. Also several motorcycles owned by celebrities like Steve McQueen and Laurence Fishburne.
