LA County preschool teachers honored at event

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- ABC7 Eyewitness News Anchor Ellen Leyva served as mistress of ceremonies at an event honoring some of Southern California's top teachers on Thursday.

Los Angeles Universal Preschool presented its Teacher of the Year Awards to six early childhood educators.

The group's award winners included Beatriz Sackett of the John Tracy Clinic, May Webster of Lennox, Christine Morrison of Winnetka, Antonio Garza of Hacienda Heights, Juana Guzman of Arcadia and Jennifer Weisbart of Pasadena.
