Honoree selected for national Jefferson Awards

GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A big event Wednesday night for a project sponsored by ABC7: The Jefferson Awards for community service.

ABC7 features monthly winners who have made an outstanding contribution to their community. Wednesday night they were recognized.

Anchor Michelle Tuzee, other members of ABC7 and our President and General Manager Arnold Kleiner were there.

One honoree, Sylvia Lofftus, founder of the Glendale Community Free Health Clinic, was selected to go on to the National Jefferson Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Congratulations to Sylvia.
