Commercial filming shuts 105 Fwy near LAX

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (KABC) -- Motorists near LAX were warned of backups Saturday as a stretch of the 105 Freeway shut down for filming of a commercial.

A portion of the eastbound 105 Freeway was closed off around 5 a.m. and will remain shut until 8 p.m.

A production crew was expected to film a car commercial along a 100-yard stretch of the freeway.

Drivers leaving the airport and heading toward the 405 Freeway were asked to use Imperial Highway, Century, La Tijera or northbound Sepulveda boulevards instead of the 105.

Traffic leaving the airport and heading east to the 105 Freeway should use Century Boulevard to get to the 105 onramp near La Cienega Boulevard.

Last weekend, the airport exit ramp to the 105 was closed for repairs, and the ramp was also closed the weekend before that due to wet pavement.
