YORBA LINDA, Calif. (KABC) -- Traffic is once again moving along Interstate 15 through the Cajon Pass.
The California Highway Patrol was running escorts early Monday morning, but near white-out conditions forced officers to shut down all lanes in both directions. Drivers were stranded for hours, with just about everybody forced to wait it out inside their vehicles.

Conditions in the Cajon Pass worsened throughout the early morning, with snow blowing and wind gusting, making it virtually impossible for drivers. Snow plows maneuvered up and down both sides of the interstate trying to clear things up.
The CHP reopened I-15 through the Cajon Pass shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, but if you're headed in that direction you should expect delays.
The snow has also shut down several schools in the Bear Valley Unified School District, the Snowline Unified School District, and all eight of the Rim of the World schools in San Bernardino County are also closed.
Things are looking much better along the Grapevine area of the I-5 Freeway, where snow had been falling all morning Monday.
The 5 Fwy remained open all morning, but blizzard conditions over the Grapevine had the CHP escorting vehicles over the Tejon Pass earlier.
