A strong earthquake struck Indonesia on Monday, causing buildings in the capital to sway.

The temblor had a preliminary magnitude of 6.1. It hit 75 miles southwest of West Java province's coast at a depth of around 15 miles.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
