APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Crews hope to have a brush fire that's burning in the hills south of Apple Valley contained by Friday night.
The blaze sparked up Thursday night in an uninhabited area, scorching 75 acres. The fire was 5 percent contained as of Friday morning.
No homes have been threatened.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
