Firefighters made quick work of a small brush fire in Brea on Wednesday morning that burned three to five acres.

Authorities said the fire broke out in the area of Birch Street and Valencia Avenue just before 9 a.m. It was contained by 9:30 a.m.

No evacuations were ordered, no homes were damaged and no injuries were reported in this incident.

Firefighters remained on scene to make sure the blaze didn't flare up.
