Graciela landed her first television job while still attending college, as a producer for Univision affiliate KCSO Channel 19 in Modesto. Shortly after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Stanislaus, Graciela was hired as an anchor and reporter at Univision affiliate KFTV Channel 21 in Fresno.
In February 1997, she joined the ABC-30 Action News team where she currently co-anchors the weekday editions of Action News at Six and Eleven with Warren Armstrong. Among her most memorable stories is covering the visit of Pope John Paul II to Mexico City for the canonization of Saint Juan Diego.
Graciela loves to read, bike-ride and travel. She recently took up running and joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. Shocking friends, family and even herself, Graciela recently completed her first half-marathon and is currently training for a full marathon, sometime in the spring of 2006. Go Team!
Much of her spare time is also spent visiting Valley schools, encouraging students to stay in school and pursue higher education.
