Action News Anchor Christine Park co-anchors Midday at 11am with Jason Oliveira and Live at 4pm with Graciela Moreno. She is also the Consumer Reporter for Action News. She was awarded five regional Emmy awards for her news reporting and anchoring on Action News AM Live and Action News Midday.
Christine's reporting career has also taken her flying with the world-renown Blue Angels, to Hawaii to board a naval aircraft carrier returning from the Iraq war, and to Las Vegas to cover the world's largest consumer electronics show. She has interviewed some of the country's top women in TV including Robin Roberts, Katie Couric, and Kelly Ripa. Prior to her current position at ABC-30, she has served as the morning show reporter, South Valley newsroom reporter, special projects producer and weekend assignment editor.
Christine joined ABC-30 in October 2000 and is excited and honored to be doing the job of her dreams so close to home. The Clovis West High School graduate originally planned for a career in medicine. After a summer internship at a local TV station, she was hooked on TV news. She graduated with honors from UC Berkeley with a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. Christine earned her Master's Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from Fresno State and in 2006 was honored as the top graduate student in the department. She was also a Dean's Medalist nominee. For several semesters she taught broadcast writing and reporting to undergraduate students there.
She currently lives in Fresno with her husband and two young children. In her free time she likes to take pictures for Instagram (tvnewsmom), make digital scrapbooks, sing karaoke, shop for bargains, explore restaurants and wineries, read and, of course, watch the news. And she dislikes birds, clowns, and scary movies.
