Graciela Moreno

Graciela Moreno
Graciela Moreno was born in Fresno, but her earliest childhood memories are of time spent in the small farming community of Five Points, where she lived with her family until the age of six. The family moved several times, finally settling in Crows Landing, another small farming town about 90 miles northwest of Fresno.

Graciela landed her first television job while still attending college, as a producer for Univision affiliate KCSO Channel 19 in Modesto. Shortly after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Stanislaus, Graciela returned home to Fresno.

She joined the ABC-30 Action News team in 1997 and currently co-anchors the weekday editions of Action News at Six and Action News at 6:30. Graciela also produces and hosts Latino Life, a half-hour weekly program that focuses on issues and people making an impact in the Latino community.

Among Graciela's most memorable stories is covering the visit of Pope John Paul II to Mexico City in 2002 for the canonization of Saint Juan Diego.

Much of Graciela's spare time is also spent visiting Valley schools, encouraging students to stay in school and pursue higher education.
