Liz Harrison

You could say Liz Harrison grew up on the air at ABC30 Action News. She began her career at the station in 1982 and has done everything from medical to consumer reporting and has anchored every newscast at the station. She is currently covering faith-based and community-oriented reporting, in addition to her anchoring duties. Her favorite stories are those that illustrate how men and women overcome and soar beyond their circumstances.

Liz was born in Baltimore but moved overseas to attend high school in Brussels, Belgium. She began her college career at the College of William and Mary and was pursuing a major in International Business when she discovered the school's small radio station and was hooked! She transferred to the University of Florida and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Liz has two grown sons and a daughter in high school. When not reporting the news, she likes to dance, cook, read and bike  both the motor-driven variety and the pedal-powered!
