The Fresno native began his broadcasting career with the station first as an intern in the summer of 2004. Within a few months, he became an official member of the Action News team as an assignment editor and web producer. In the following years, he took on the roles as Action News Midday producer and associate producer for Action News AM Live. In early 2008 he began working as a fill-in weather anchor; he took over the weekend position later that summer.
His work as an Associate Producer on AM Live earned him a regional Emmy Award from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2008 for Best Daytime Newscast, Medium Market. He picked up the same honor again in 2009, this time for his work as producer on Action News Midday.
Born and raised in Fresno, Reuben attended Central High School where he was involved in journalism, publications, video production and student government. He attended Fresno City College and received his Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from Fresno State in 2005. He is currently enrolled in the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University and recently became a member of the National Weather Association.
When he's not taking on weather duties in the Storm Warn 30 Center, Reuben enjoys playing golf and spending time with friends and family. He loves it when he can attend one of the many soccer games his nieces play in around the Valley.
