Golden retriever rescues drowning pup

A YouTube clip making the rounds on the internet for it's "cuteness" factor is now raising a big question. It shows a golden retriever leaping into a swimming pool to bravely rescue a panicking pup from drowning.

As you can see, she tries to nudge the struggling puppy to the edge of the pool, but his paws can't seem to grasp the ledge. The dog then swims around to hop out of the water, and then hoists the pup up to solid ground.

Since it was posted last week, the clip has been viewed more than 300-thousand times. But while many viewers are charmed by the adorable dogs, others are questioning why the photographer didn't stop to help. One post even suggests that the dogs be moved to another home.
