ABC30 TV Special on Children's Hospital Central California

Airs Sunday, December 1 at 5:00 p.m.
Hosted by Warren Armstrong & Graciela Moreno

ABC30 anchors Warren Armstrong and Graciela Moreno go on location for an in-depth look at the valley's only pediatric hospital.  ABC30 will air a half-hour special, "Children's Hospital Central California: A Valley Treasure" on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.

ABC30 received special access to the premiere pediatric facility located in Madera County.  You will learn about the rise of Valley Fever cases and how to spot the signs of the dangerous disease.  See how neurosurgeons helped solve the odd behavior afflicting a 5-year-old boy; plus, our Action News camera goes up in Air George, the only pediatric medical helicopter in the valley.  Every minute counts as a special transport team works to give sick and injured kids a second shot at life.  Meet the special team helping expectant Moms who run into challenging health problems during their pregnancy.  ABC30 will also share ways viewers can volunteer their time or donate money to Children's Hospital Central California.

Children's Hospital Central California is a not-for-profit, state-of-the-art children's hospital on a 50-acre campus with a medical staff of more than 525 physicians.  The 348-bed facility is one of the 10 largest hospitals of its type in the nation.  Learn more at childrenscentralcal.org .
