Insurance industry hit by drought

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Growers are not the only ones affected by this year's drought. The insurance industry is facing its biggest agriculture losses ever.

Analysts say insurance companies will be able to recover their money thanks to government programs, but even after that, they could get hit with as much as $268-million in losses.
