FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Ag officials say one third of the total pecan nut harvest is expected to find its way to China this year. Last year, the U.S. as a whole exported almost 80-million pounds of pecan nuts to China -- and this year that number is expected to be even higher.
Ag officials say pecans are becoming more popular in China and the U.S. is sending more nuts to keep up with the high demand.
