Fresno Company Fined for Drug Cover-up

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

A Fresno company that cleans up illegal drug sites has been fined heavily after one of its employees stole drugs from a clean-up site.

Parc Environmental was fined $250,000 dollars by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

D.E.A. agents said an employee took a large amount of "GHB," commonly known as the "date rape drug," from a lab clean-up site in San Francisco. They found about twelve gallons of the drug at his home in Fresno, and say he planned to sell it.

That employee was sentenced to three years in prison earlier this month.

The investigation determined that Parc Environmental faked paperwork to cover up the work at the San Francisco site.
