Valley Students Participate in "Got Milk" Contest to Raise Money

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Students in the Valley are using their talent competing to raise money for art classes. Students at Roosevelt High School are taking part in a state competition to recreate scenes from a rock opera. It's called the "Battle for Milkquarious".

The winning video will receive $20-thousand dollars in scholarships; nine runners up will receive and will split $30-thousand dollars in scholarship funds.

Educators say with cuts to art programs, this money will help go a long way. Students have until December 20th to submit their video entries online.
