Fresno Pacific University wrapped up a week of celebrations at the school to welcome the school's new president.

The inauguration for Pete Menjares was held at the Southeast Fresno campus Friday morning.

All week long, there were several events to introduce the school's new leader to his thousands of students.

Menjares comes to the valley from Biola University where he held several positions, including vice provost for faculty development over 18 years.

At today's celebration, President Menjares was given a medallion.
