FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A local school took time out of its day today to honor local heroes.
Bullard Talent holds a parade every year to drum up school spirit, and this year's theme was heroes.
Several local role models were honored as part of the event including police officers, firefighters, city council members, and even parents.
Organizers say the event is a great way to inspire and challenge students to find a great role model.
"I think it's important because we're not just raising kids academically. We're also developing them socially emotionally. We want them to grow into really capable adults who are great citizens in our community," said Sue Fuentes, Bullard Talent Principal.
Action News Anchor Warren Armstrong had the privilege participating in the parade and reading a tribute to all of our local heroes.
