And it was an exciting day for Clovis native, Chris Colfer. The 20-year-old picked up a nomination in the best supporting actor category for his role as Kurt Hummel on the FOX show "Glee".

Action News had a chance to talk to the TV star on the phone Thursday about his nomination. "I think maybe in my adolescent hormonal days, maybe I would have hoped for something like this. Um, but I could never have predicted or imagined um being a part of something this big. It's really such a phenomenon," said Chris Colfer.

Colfer also said it's been amazing to have so much support for the show from his hometown.

The Prime-time Emmy Awards Show airs August 29th.
