FFA students prepare for livestock auction at the Big Fresno Fair.

At the Big Fresno Fair, the livestock pavilion has been packed with hundreds of students and animals all getting ready to compete. The junior livestock auction is this Saturday.

Thursday is "Feed The Need" community food drive. Bring five or more canned food items per person between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m., and receive free admission into the fair on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013.

The food will be donated to the Salvation Army and Community Food Bank. In 2012, "Feed The Need" raised 153,082 pounds of food. In the last four years they have totaled over 210 tons.
