Amber Frey Talks Openly and Offers Relationship Advice

1/4/2007 (KFSN) -- It's been more than two years since a jury convicted Scott Peterson of murdering his wife and unborn son, sending him to death row. Amber Frey, the Fresno massage therapist who was romantically linked to Peterson is talking publicly about how her life has changed since the trial.

Amber Frey didn't want Action News cameras to videotape her appearance today on the radio. But during the interview, she did reveal information about how she plans to explain her involvement with Scott Peterson to her children.

The interview was conducted at KMJ studios in northwest Fresno. During the 1 1/2 hour interview, a nervous Amber Frey didn't back away from questions about her involvement with convicted murderer Scott Peterson. She said her children, ages six and two and a half, are too young to know much about the trial. But she's planning to talk to them about it in hopes they can learn from it.

Amber says, "I'm not ashamed of who I am and if there are things in my past that my children have questions about I'm sure going to share that with them."

Frey is now married to a peace officer she met after the trial. She says, "He loves me the way I need to be loved, he's a good man, he's an honest man."

She does have advice for women who may be involved in a bad relationship. She advises, "Trust women intuition a little bit more and if they have questions, it's probably for a good reason."

The jurors who convicted Scott Peterson to death row for the deaths of his wife, Laci and unborn son, have released a new book, 'We, the Jury Deciding the Scott Peterson Case'. In it, jurors are mixed on Frey's testimony over the tape recordings she conducted involving phone calls between her and Peterson.

Juror number 9 says "She was credible. She pretty much was the star of the trial because her tapes exposed Scott so badly." But, Juror number 8 wasn't as kind saying, "I think there were enough clues in the Amber tapes that should have rung a bell in her head that he, Scott, was married. I think she denied the obvious to pursue this lustful relationship."

For now, Amber Frey is pouring her heart into her new marriage, her children and a new day spa.

Amber Frey says, "It's something that's been in the works for sometime and just it's getting closer to reality."

Frey does say she didn't think twice about coming forward and talking to police. She says if she was missing, she believes Laci Peterson would have done the same for her.
