UC Merced Received Over $12M in Research Grants over Past Fiscal Year

The money is being used to fund several projects, including studies on cancer, stem cells, climate change, and solar energy.

Faculty researchers have spent more than $7M this fiscal year to equip laboratories, travel to research sites, and hire research assistants.

University officials say the award money contributes not only to efforts at UC Merced, but also the development of the surrounding community.
